My Work with the International House of Prayer

The International House of Prayer in Kansas City (IHOPKC) is a prayer room that is open 24 hours a day seven days a week. I have worked with IHOPKC in two different, yet impactful roles, one as a content director and social media manager for their internal music label Forerunner Music and as a live front of house sound engineer.

Content Director & Social Media Manager - Forerunner Music

In this role I developed and executed a new branding and marketing strategy for Forerunner Music’s main project - UNCEASING Worship, a music subscription service featuring artists and musicians from IHOPKC. From managing the social media content calendars, collaborating with multiple creative teams and departments, creating and designing social media graphics and album covers, and writing copy for content both in print and digital, I helped sustain and grow their social media channels and build a thriving subscriber base for the subscription service. In addition to managing their Facebook and Instagram accounts, I helped strategize and implement their YouTube monetization strategy alongside our advertising team.

Live Sound Engineer -

Trained for live sound in 2016, I began volunteering as a live front-of-house sound engineer at IHOPKC in January of 2019. After sitting under a seasoned sound engineer trained specifically for this 24 hour live venue, I began with Jon Thurlow’s team in March of 2019. Since then I have logged over 600 hours of live sound experience on the Solid State Logic L300 and L 100 soundboards and Midas 64 channel analog mixer. I also have experience on the Midas M32, Behringer X32, and DigiCo SD-9 and SD-10 soundboards.
